VegReg is a Charlotte-based vegan startup launching a brand new online directory to help plant-based businesses reach the perfect audience. Beginning in Charlotte, NC, VegReg will slowly be rolling out nationwide, strengthening the community with its directory, as well as inspiring newsletters, blogs and social media - and that’s where you come in...

We are searching for a social-media-savvy vegan, plant-based or vegetarian individual to take control of our social channels and spread the VegReg word to the world as we continue to grow and expand over the coming months and years.

The ideal applicant will:

Be based in or near the Charlotte, NC, area
Have a solid knowledge of social media strategy
Be passionate about saving animals, protecting the planet and improving health through dietary choices
Have their finger on the pulse of vegan brands, trends, news and personalities
Want to be part of a greater change, for a brighter, healthier, kinder world

We don’t need an absolute pro, but a strong knowledge of social media management, tactics and principles is essential. This would include sourcing and using hashtags, understanding and implementing analytics, assessing the best times to post, sourcing imagery, connecting with the audience and relevant influencers and presenting a strong, impactful post across numerous platforms.

We will also ask you to connect with the community, through comments, direct messages and also visiting local businesses and meeting business owners to share their stories across social media.

Skills:

Excellent social media skills (qualification advantageous, though not essential)
A strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn
A knowledge of scheduling platforms and best scheduling practices
Excellent writing skills
Design skills - Adobe Creative Suite or simply a good grasp of Canva
Superb communication skills, both written and verbal.
